Omaha Woodworkers Guild

 The Omaha Woodworkers Guild is a non-profit organization.
Our members help each other improve their woodworking skills. Member skill levels range from professional to beginner. 

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at Guild member Don Nelson’s Cutting Edge Mill. 20950 State Street, Elkhorn, NE.

Meetings begin at 6:30 pm. but you can come as early as 5:30 pm to browse Don's inventory of milled wood for sale.


Bring your own chair (folding or lawn chair).    


 Directions to Cutting Edge Mill:
 

  • Get to 204th Street (Highway 31) from wherever you’re coming from – Bellevue / Papillion / West Center / Pacific / Dodge / Blondo / Fort
  • Head north on 204th Street/Highway 31 through Elkhorn. 
  • State Street is three miles north of Maple Street.  (It’s Maple Street, Fort Street, Ida Street, State Street.)
  • Turn left on State Street to go west. 
  • Drive  five blocks until you get to Don’s place which is on the right (north)  side of the street.  There’s a sign that says “Cutting Edge Mill”. It  will be just over a a hill so be on the look out. It comes up fast.
     

 Parking:  Don has a long  driveway/lane.  There is plenty of parking north and south of the  shop/house.  We ask that you park either on the west side of the  driveway/lane, or else on the road that is south and east of the house.   Do not block the driveway in front of the garage.
